Bring your family and friends for Glen Ellyn's favorite hometown tradition, the annual Fourth of July Celebration.

The 2014 theme is "Remember the Past, Imagine the Future!"

The festivities begin on Saturday, June 28th with spills and chills at the annual Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta and great food at the Picnic in the Park, a fundraiser for the 4th celebration.

On Friday, July 4th 2014, enjoy a full day of activities, including the Freedom Four ® Four-Mile Run, Glen Ellyn's 4th of July Parade, Afternoon Festivities and Glen Ellyn's Grand Fireworks display.
The Fourth of July Committee desperately needs volunteers to help with this year's Picnic on June 28th and the parade on July 4th.  Over 150 volunteers are required to help stage these events each year - some just for an hour or two.  To volunteer please submit here .

Ron and Maryann Aubrey commissioned Gordon France, renowned local water color artist to paint “Grand Finale at Lake Ellyn” to capture the excitement and family experience of our 4th of July fireworks.   "We also wished to create something Glen Ellyn for all those who live here to enjoy.  We hope it triggers a smile and a special memory every time you view it", says Ron Aubrey.
